A wary fairytale tower, with a fantastic view of Gosslar 👌😎

From the tower you have an excellent view of the old town of Goslar with the Harz in the background and the Harz foreland. At the same time stamp location of the HWN and another stamp

The way up is worthwhile and very nice. The view is totally crazy and if you are lucky (like me) you can see far over the Harz. Just great

The Sudmerberg Tower, also called Sudmerberger Warte, stands on the summit of the Sudmerberg. The former watch tower was built around 1400 and is approx. 12 m high.
From the observation platform of the observation tower you have a beautiful view of the city of Goslar and the Harz foreland. The tower is stamped number 108 of the Harz hiking nobility.

A splendid after-work tour and something positive there is to report - the control room (the tower) is open again 😊.

The control room was renovated in 2018 and seems to be freely accessible again. The view from the top is really great!

The Sudmerberg (354 m above sea level) is located east of Goslar above the Sudmerberg district, which owes its name to the mountain.
From the control room you have a good view of Goslar, the Brocken, the Harz foothills and the towers of Halberstadt.
It's a shame that the control room is closed due to dilapidation !!

There is a stamping point for the HWN here and there is a wonderful view of Goslar and the surrounding area free of charge on top ☺

Nice starting point for a short hike. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the tower was closed. In good weather and open door great view.

To the left of the tower is a small cliff with a beautiful view, tranquility and lingering potential.

We were there all alone during the week in the morning in the most beautiful sunshine. It was very nice because you can see far and the city is so close.

Stamp location 108 of the Harz hiking pin at the moment also with a special stamp. The control room is currently open (March 2021), but enter at your own risk. From above you have a beautiful view of Goslar and the Harz foreland.

Easily and quickly reached via the small "Bergknick" car park. The view over the ascent in the southwest is more beautiful. Here the view extends to the Brocken and the Eastern Harz.

Unfortunately, the tower was closed on 25.08.2017 and could not be climbed. There is no sign that there are opening hours.
