Tips

  • Julia

You should be sure-footed and halfway free from giddiness to climb the staircase itself - but the detour is worth it because of the views in any case. The stamp office can be found opposite the cliff at the bank.

Nice hiking destination with a view of the Okertal. Even Goethe was already here and fully thrilled. HWN 117

Naklar, who ascend and enjoy the view is a must and not a matter of action.
A stone staircase leads up to the top. A railing gives a secure hold.

A fabulous view of the Okertal and interesting rock steps make up the appeal of this rock. A little surefootedness is required - but to overcome the fear of heights is worthwhile!

Stamping point no. 117 of the Harzer hiking needle (511 m above sea level), it is a bizarre rock formation with a very beautiful view.

The staircases popular destination, lookout point and the maximum of 35 meters high cliffs are extremely demanding and popular climbing rocks.

The staircase stone is one of the bizarre rock cliffs in the Okertal between the Goslar district Oker and the Okertalsperre.

The top stone / rock still has various old "steps", an indication that a railing ran up to there. Today you can't get there unless you climb (unauthorized & dangerous) over the barrier.
The last big upper rock has the shape or appearance of a "whale" with a little imagination. (After all, a stone in Okertal also supposedly looks like a frog) ;-)

Fern Treppenstein offers a wonderful view and, for example, a good alternation between the usually hidden between the trees and little prospect preparing Boulder problems

Stamp office of the Harzer hiking nobility. Parking at a parking bay on the B498 or in connection with a nice round trip at the Romkerhaller waterfall.
