A deserted settlement is an abandoned settlement that is only remembered by documents, field names, remains in the ground, ruins or local oral traditions. Somehow there is always something fairytale or legendary about it.
In the Middle Ages, the village of Heb(v)erhagen is said to have been located near Kaldaunengasse. The surrounding land belonged to the Gandersheim abbess, which was given to her by Emperor Heinrich II in 1021. A sign that fills this historically interesting place with content is about 100m down in the valley of the Fallerwasser, very close to the Hochzeitsstein. Today, however, there are more indications of its existence, as if all traces had been wiped away.... maybe just wild speculation?
