The "brand" of the Essen artists Miriam Giessler and Hubert Sandmann recalls the victims of the witch hunt in the 17th century. Around 1000 people fell victim to this ordeal.

The memorial (on the initiative of the civic association Bamberg-Mitte and thanks to numerous donations) is located behind the town hall Geyerswörth, near the same name underground car park and the tourist information on Nonnengraben (Ludwig-Donau-Main-Kanal). If you turn off onto the bridge from here you can directly reach the city center via the Habergasse.

Following the path along the water towards the Brückenrathaus you reach the Geyerswörthsteg with a beautiful view of the Old Town Hall and direct access to the historic old town.
