There are also many details to admire in the "lower" part of the fountain. For example, two fish-like stone figures that serve as water taps. However, these are not fish, says Christiane Widmer, but dolphins. "Until the Middle Ages, dolphins were depicted like this. With a huge head, large eyes, and fins on their necks".
