Hiking
Good place to start a canoe tour. Enough space to set up, easy enough to launch and enter the boat. Don't be fooled by the old leaves in the water. It is deeper than it looks.
Not a suitable swimming place though. The water doesn't move a lot and in summer there is a lot of garbage collecting around the corner.
Be aware of the Alstertouristik ships that cruise these canals. They have right of way!
