The Stadtparksee in Hamburg-Winterhude is the largest body of water in the Hamburg Stadtpark. It was laid out together with this in the years 1910 to 1914 to compensate for other green areas that had since been developed and was intended to offer areas for sports and recreation. Chief building director Fritz Schumacher (1869-1947) called it "Great Lake"
