It is located east of the Exelberg, lies immediately south of the Hameau and borders Vienna on three sides. From the Schwarzenberg Park, the route to the Hameau leads over the eastern flank of the Grünberg, and one of the sources of the Eckbach, which later joins the Dornbach to form the Als, rises below the Grünberg. Its summit is inconspicuous and wooded.
