  • In 1765 the property was acquired by Field Marshal Franz Moritz Graf von Lacy, a friend of Emperor Joseph II. The splendidly furnished little houses, in which all kinds of merrymaking took place, were subsequently called Hameau (little village). It is still a popular destination for the Viennese today.
