Farm tracks lead through the idyllic valley on the left-hand side of the stream, on the right-hand side the old railway line has been converted into a cycle path and, with its good surface, also offers ideal conditions for inline skating.

The Siebenmühlental, formerly called Reichenbachtal, is the valley of the Reichenbach between Musberg, a district of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, and the mouth of the stream on the eastern edge of the urban area of Waldenbuch. The valley cut roughly follows the border between the district of Böblingen on his right and the district of Esslingen on his left.
Today's name "Siebenmühlental" refers to the mills mentioned in a document in 1383 as "seven mills in the Richenbach", to which more were added later, all of which were powered by the Reichenbach. The name was applied during the 1930s in an effort to develop and market the valley for tourism.
With the exception of the donkey mill, none of the nine grain mills grind any more. Sawmills and wood storage are housed in the Untere Kleinmichelesmühle and the Burkhardtsmühle.
