The access was very overgrown in the summer of 2016 and therefore exciting to commit. In the end, you had to be careful not to fall out of the lake (be careful!)

Hiking

The basalt quarry lies on the less well-known east side of the large Ölberg and is hardly recognizable from below. On narrow paths you get closer to the break and to a small lake. CAUTION, the shore is steep and lush overgrown, mortal danger! At the nearby monument and rest area "Dittmanns Ruh" you can enjoy a beautiful view during a break.
