Ritterstein No. 85: At the Three Stones

At the "three stones" about a kilometer further on Birkeneck is the former Dreimark: Elmsteiner Wald, Oberhaingeraide, Frankenweide. The letters C P E were signed on the boundary stones, each signifying the corresponding forest area. (Source: Rittersteine im Pfälzerwald, Walter Eitelmann),

This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association.
It is located directly on the B 48 (Rinnthal – Johanniskreuz) and near the turnoff to Iggelbach. There is something (?) sticking out of the Ritterstein at the bottom left. Directly to the right behind the Ritterstein there is a hiking trail marked "yellow-red".
