Tips

Tip: Only in the late afternoon in the national park drive. First, you pay at the toll station not the full price and secondly, then most touring buses are already on the way back. If you have the opportunity, you should spend the night in the car, motorhome or in the cabins and then start early. Early in the morning and in the evening you have the Drei Zinnen almost to yourself.

If you want to go to the 3 Zinnen, you should hike from the Fischleintal. Is not that crowded. Visually, this is the blast. One of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. Ascent to the 3 battlements takes about 3 hours. Also recommended is the 3 huts round from the Fischleintal. Duration about 8 hours.

The access (toll) to the parking directly at the Rifugio Aurenzo is relatively expensive (over 20 EUR I think so). You can also park outside and take a bus up. However, you should inquire about the departure times beforehand.
Incidentally, the jeeps in the same car park are a World War II monument and not the Three Peaks.

Just overwhelming this massif, but unfortunately also a tourist magnet, who would like to park in good weather to the parking Rifugio Auronzo should start early. The meanwhile 30 Euro parking fee are a bit over the top. But those who stay there from far away, it is a must.

The "Tre Cime di Lavaredo", found in the Dolomites (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), are among the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. There are different paths you can take around the famous peaks. The toll for reaching the parking spot at the first hut (Rifugio Aurenzo - rifugioauronzo.it ) is quite pricy; a suggestion would be to park further away and use the bus to get there - but check for the times in advance. Bring along binoculars to enjoy watching the climbers making their way to the top.

The bus now costs 8.00 € uro.
    Reason is the raised toll.

With us it was like that the Italians still had holidays and the first part from the parking lot to the first hut (Lavaredo) was very full.
Here on the north side of the three battlements, on the narrow path, however, was relatively little "traffic" and you could enjoy the view in peace.

If you have, you should also take a pair of binoculars and watch the climbers and / or ibexes scrambling.

It's really worth it. I walked from the place Moos (Fischleintal) at Sexten. Uphill I hiked to the three battlements for 4 hours. I did not have to pay anything.

The 3 pinnacles are definitely worthwhile. Especially in autumn and spring, when the tourist hotspot is not so crowded. However, you should bring along a bit of basic stamina.

The Three Peaks are a striking mountain range in the Sextener Dolomites.
The highest elevation of the group is the 2999 m s.l.m. High Great Pinnacle (ital. Cima Grande). It stands between the other two peaks, the Western Pinnacle (Cima Ovest, 2973 m) and the Little Pinnacle (Cima Piccola, 2857 m). In addition to these striking rock towers are several other peaks to the massif, including the Punta di Frida (2792 m) and the Preu tower, even the smallest pinnacle (Torre Preuss, Cima Piccolissima, 2700 m).

Now I understand why many famous climbers said that here you can find the best mountains in the world. The perfect trip around the 3 picks of Lavaredo (Cima Piccola, Grande e Ovest) easy and with a unique view. The beauty of the surroundings it cannot easily describe: maybe something in between the Grand Canyon area and the Dolomites. Even the 24 euros for the entrance seemed nothing compare of the wonders of this place. Thanks God to create this and put it all together!

Beautiful! A hike around the Drei Zinnen is almost a must. I started from Antornosee. You pay no parking fees there. More importantly, the nature you walk through is just great.

The Three Peaks are so powerful, so engaging, almost eerie, downright hypnotized by the most photographed massif in Europe. Anyone who has stood directly before this artwork of nature will never forget the image of the stone giants. The large pinnacle measures a proud height of 2,999 m, the western pinnacle reaches 2,973 m and the Small Pinnacle reaches 2,857 m.

Driveway and parking at the cottage Rifugio Auronzo costs 25 € [2017]. Alternatively, you can also start with the bus (from Lake Misurina 4 €) However, the parking is also relatively expensive. Last departure from the hut was 18:00. With several people it is definitely worth the drive with your own car.

A beautiful hike, about 3 hours, you can easily start at 12 .. 13 clock. Big BUT: 30 € parking fee (or toll, as of June 2019) are steep. On the other hand: if we go somewhere else with the lift, it costs so much. And one more thing: you're not alone if you understand what I mean. Nevertheless, a clear 'go and do it' !!!

The trip is really worth it, the area is breathtaking. But you should not drive in the holiday season of Italy to Auronzo hut, driving is very crowded.
