Eller Castle has been owned by the city of Düsseldorf since 1950 and is generally not open to the public.
The castle park, which is crossed by the Eselsbach, is accessible all the time and offers a park with ponds, islands, bridges, a large lawn and play area as well as a fenced free-range area for dogs.
