At the crossroads itself, you can continue the hike in the planned direction, or, as a tip, head straight ahead, coming down the valley from the Brocken, you'll find the ranger station, Stamp Point 2 / Scharfenstein (Ranger Station). The Hermannsklippe is a granite cliff located on the Hermannstraße section of the Heinrich Heine Hiking Trail below the Brocken summit. It is located 747 meters above sea level and just a few dozen meters before the junction of the aforementioned trail with the Hirtenstieg.

The freely accessible, flat rocky cliff is easy to climb from the trail. It offers a beautiful view to the north of the mountains and forests of the Harz Mountains, as well as far into the northern Harz foothills.
