The Asselsestraat gravel road is a hardpack gravel road or Strade Bianche as the Italians would call it. It's a beautiful road through the forest and connects to one of the few railway crossings in the south.
There's a concrete path to skip the gravel in the first half (coming from Apeldoorn), but this path bends to the north half way (Lammertspad). The gravel in this 'Strade Bianche' is ridable for all bikes including road racers, but mind that there are pieces of gravel a bit loose. So keep your eyes on the road.

Starting at the railcrossing you get a pretty a nice climb to the north. And from the top a good ride down into Apeldoorn. Or the other way around obviously.
