Yes indeed, Pomphuisweg you are beautiful. Nice rolling and curvy road running straight through some of the Veluwe's most beautiful heather area's, connecting the village of Hoog Soeren with the small but nice village of Assel. There's a small concrete cycling path for those going slow, but this is also crowded in the weekends. Maybe best for you to take your road racer to the main road here, as many road racers do with the speeds they ride.

Nice concrete cyclepath through the heath and forest. Could be crowded depending on the weather and the day of the week. As an alternative you could ride on the road, but this is not strictly legal and the road could be busy as well.

Wonderful road as far as I am concerned. Super beautiful surroundings and wonderful asphalt.

Beautiful road with beautiful views over the heath

Very nice road to include in your route. The cycle path is a bit bumpy and can be busy on nice days. The road is also bicycleable. Especially if you are with larger groups. It is recommended to stop halfway at the bench, very nice view.

The bike path is terrible on the road bike because of all the roots and holes. The road, on the other hand, is fantastic. Beautiful views over heaths and a beautiful wooded area.

I always take the road, although the bike path is also nice with a slower pace and wider tires in the direction of Hoog Soeren. The road seems to be gently bumping uphill, but just before Hoog Soeren it suddenly becomes very steep. Make sure you have enough left over or be at peace with switching back to a small resistance

The cycle path next to the road was a mandatory cycle path. This has now become a normal cycle path. As a cyclist (or any other cyclist) you can now just cycle on the road. Unfortunately, not all motorists agree with this.
