This naming comes from the founders of the local history association in 1897, who were already working out the first hiking routes and found a vantage point on the slope of the Damme mountains, which allows a view over the Dammer lowlands to the low mountain ranges, if not high corn restricts the view. But in spite of everything, the impression that the visitor is greeted by the vastness and variety of fields and fields actually remains in this homely place.
