The radio tower on the Signalberg used to be used by the military, but has been abandoned for a number of years. Today the area just lies there... it's a pity that you can't find any subsequent use for such relics.

The Signalberg near Damme in the Vechta district of Lower Saxony, at 146 m above sea level, is the highest elevation in the Damme Hills and the Oldenburg Münsterland region.
The Signalberg rises approximately in the middle of the Damme Hills and within the Dümmer Nature Park. Its summit is located 3.7 km north-northeast of Damme, 3.8 km south of Steinfeld, and about 670 m east of the Schweizerhaus restaurant on State Road 846, which connects the two towns.
The Weser-Ems watershed runs across the hill: the water of all rivers flowing eastward from it flows into the Weser via the Hunte River, and the water of streams flowing westward flows into the Ems via the Hase River.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signalberg_(Damme)

Stands next to the Mordkuhlenberg. From the observation tower you have a beautiful view of the transmission tower
