The tower looks huge and is always open to visitors. The route can be strenuous from some sides. From the top, the view is great in all directions. There are also some garden benches and tables. The environment is very quiet.

A magnificent view over the entire Dammer Berge recreation area and far beyond awaits you at the Mordkuhlenberg observation tower. As you ascend its six floors, you can read a short version of the legend "The Robbers of Mordkuhlenberg," based on the text of the play of the same name by author Bernd Kessens, and enjoy the beauty of the Dammer Berge.

The approximately 20-meter-high tower was built in 1978 and rebuilt after a fire in 1991 and 1992. In 2013, some parts of the tower were renovated, and the panels with the legend were installed.
