Once upon a time there was the giantess Saba, who lived with her sisters on the Krukenburg. After Saba and Brama had turned to the Christian faith, a dispute broke out between the sisters. Gisela, Lippolda and Brama sought peace and withdrew far away to the Weser and built their castles in Gieselwerder, Lippoldsberg and in the Bramwald. Trendula refused to renounce pagan beliefs. The quarrel went so far that Brama went blind from crying so much. Saba, who had built her new home on the Sababurg, tried to settle the dispute. Trendula agreed to a meeting. At Helmarshausen she met Saba and a quarrel ensued. Out of anger, Trendula killed her sister Saba in the murder chamber.
