The water tower "Auf der Geist" is a water tower of the Stadtwerke Münster and is located in the ghost district of Münster. The tower was built in 1900 or 1901 to 1903 on the Geist in the open field before the planning and construction of the Geistviertel and reached a height of almost 60 meters. The water tower was put into operation on July 1, 1903 and replaced the Buddha tower, which had a capacity five times greater. Stadtwerke Münster used the tower until 2017 for drinking water storage and pressure equalization. It is not open to the public.
