In Stromberg, a mass of lime from the Middle Devonian is mined, which is burned on site in a special plant. Minerals were found in quartz and calcite veins. The dating of the age of the lime goes back to a fossil find from 1909 by Karl Geib.The area was also occasionally mined for lead ore. Unfortunately, nothing can be seen of these relics. Part has fallen victim to rock quarrying.
