The Platte on the Franconian Mountain Trail is definitely worth a visit. According to the nature park's website, the viewpoint with a wooden cross offers "meditative moments" above an impressive granite boulder field. In the middle of a primeval landscape you have a fantastic view of the inside of the Fichtelgebirge horseshoe.

Both the boulder field and the view are impressive and definitely worth a visit. You can climb up to the right at the summit cross or on the other side to the rock massif. Has both that certain something.
