It is well worth the drive along the Levada do Moinho deep into the laurel jungle.

A very nice hike along the Levada that makes the heart of a nature lover beat faster. The waterfall with the small pond in front of it is very romantic and the trickling water drops that look for the way down on the moss- and fern-covered steep rock formations above the Levada.
