Dictator Adolf Hitler and the architect Albert Speer planned the so-called imperial capital "Germania". To relieve the burden on the gigantic metropolis, the rail network was to be redesigned between 1937 and 1945. "The plan was to free the entire inner ring from freight traffic and to direct it around Berlin." Part of the GAR was a two-track link between Dresdener Bahn and Anhalter Bahn. The route ran from Zossen via Groß Schulzendorf to Großbeeren. This route would have taken freight trains coming from Dresden by the shortest route to the Großbeeren marshalling yard.
It is not known exactly when the construction of the Zossen - Großbeeren route started. It was supposed to go into operation on October 1, 1940 at the same time as the Großbeeren marshalling yard. But because there was not enough material due to the war, the work stalled. So it happened that tracks were never laid on this route. Work stopped at the latest from 1942. Up to this point, for example, dams were only filled up in a few places, such as in Dabendorf.

2 bridge pier segments of a planned railway line. However, I have not found anything related to the outer freight ring.
According to Google you can see a possible railway lane west of Dabendorf in the satellite view.
It could indicate a possible connection between the Anhalter Bahn and the Dresden Railway.
In any case, this bridge was never finished.

A nice intermediate relaxing ride, entrance to the track at Dabendorf by the old Bowling Bahn was a bit hidden and had to search for it, the top of Weinberg is not easy to reach from this direction, sadly I had to leave 3 riders below and ride to the peak myself, very soft sand to get to the picnic tables. My descent route really was not for the average rider, quite steep and fast, washed out, ruts, tree roots and steps ( little scary on a Fatbike), but would recommend the trail to everyone.
