Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
When Erik Zabel was still active, this route was part of the Germany tour. Nevertheless, it is one of the more moderate climbs in the Northern Black Forest and the slope is very even. So you can cycle up wonderfully smoothly. It is exactly 5.9km from the church in Bad Rippoldsau to the sign of Zwieselberg. And when you reach this place name sign you have done the vertical meters. Most will continue to Freudenstadt, from Zwieselberg it is an easy up and down, you actually stay at the same height all the time until the junction to Schömberg am Lauferbrunnen.
The small L404 signs help as a small motivation boost, because they also indicate the route kilometers from the church in Bad Rippoldsau. And so it is easy to see that when you have reached the first hairpin bend you have already covered more than 2km, which means you have mastered a good third.
