This reservoir does not serve as a bathing lake (bathing is prohibited), but is intended for the water supply. You can get to know this area ideally on small hikes or mountain bike tours. A lap around the dam is also ideal for jogging.

A trip to the drinking water dam "Kleine Kinzig" is really fun with the e-bike. The way back has a few vertical meters, which is a challenge on long, steady climbs.

“The Kleine Kinzig dam (Kleine-Kinzig dam) is a dam opened in 1984 in Reinerzau near Freudenstadt in the Black Forest, (Baden-Württemberg). It is used for drinking water supply, flood protection, low water levels and electricity generation from hydropower. Little Kinzig is stowed; the dam belongs to the Kleine Kinzig association. ”

The lake simply invites you to walk around!
But I have to contradict Boerk in two respects: it is not the only good view of the lake, and the valley you are looking at is not the Kinzig valley.

The drinking water reservoir - the only one in Baden-Württemberg - is worth a tour. There is a nice path around the lake. Since the lake can also be easily reached by car, there is a lot of activity, especially on weekends.
