The Naundorfer Heimat Verein has lovingly restored the viewpoint. In the summer months (April to October), weekends and public holidays are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Opposite the decaying Naundorf Castle, an entrance leads to a well-kept park with many benches. A wide and many small paths lead through the park and have "Ottos Eck", the tower visible from the valley, as their destination. A small pavilion is attached to these.

In 1846 Wilhelm Eduard Otto (1823 – 1897) began arranging trees on what was then Capellenberg and the forerunner of a landscape park was created. Otto's period of activity also saw the erection of the observation tower with pavilion, known as "Otto's Corner". A Heinrich Oscar Bierling (1852 – 1944) is mentioned later in this context. He owned the neighboring manor of Naundorf, which he acquired in 1898. He also made a contribution to the park expansion.

The Moorish-style pavilion and Italian-style tower were built in 1867. From the tower - when open - you have a very nice view of the Weißeritztal. It is one of the few vantage points in this valley. Since 2001, the local club "Otto's Eck e.V." restored both Otto's Eck and the park in countless hours of work.

Beautiful view around the landscape park. The construction of the pavilion, called "Otto's Eck" with the observation tower, took place in 1867.

Reopening of the restored building in 2004, the tower has been open to visitors since 2007.

        Sat, Sun & public holidays 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
