The street name comes from the former manors of Hake (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hake_(Adelsgeschlecht)#Die_nieders%C3%A4chsischen_Hake) and Garmissen (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garmissen ). The latter is still there, but privately owned and therefore only visible from the outside. Nevertheless, given the old buildings, one can still imagine life in the past.
