When the Kippenburg was built as a ruin around 1839, it served to amuse the population and still does today.
The Kippenburg is a castle ruin built by Adam Kipp, which was used as a vineyard house and lookout tower in the 19th century. On April 22, 1839 Adam Kipp received permission from the Aschaffenburg magistrate to cultivate the "Ödung am Godelsberg on the left of Ludwigsallee". 😀

At the Kippenburg there are very nice circular routes and in summer, like every year, a great month with festivals

The Aschaffenburg City Guard has been celebrating its well-known and popular Kippenburg Festival here every year since 1965. In 2020 the 54th Kippenburgfest was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
