The Tavira Tower was inaugurated on December 22, 1994 with the first Dark Camera in Spain and is today one of the most important tourist attractions in Cádiz. It has two exhibition halls, the Camera Obscura and the Mirador, from where a magnificent panoramic view of the entire city is contemplated.

The Torre Tavira is the highest point for a perfect panoramic view of the old town of Cádiz. Particularly impressive is the "Cámara oscura" which is located in the tower. In Spanish and easy-to-understand English visitors are shown the sights of the city from a bird's eye view.
