There is always something going on here ... guaranteed nice encounters! Overall, the park is very well maintained and has a wonderful older tree population; no Junkie corners and throwaway paraphernalia. Meeting point for many leisure groups in Essen, e.g. "Lauftreff Haumannplatz". At the southern end of Haumannplatz near de Grugaparkes there is a garden project where you can grow vegetables and fruit yourself. Summary: All in all, a very nice and eventful meeting place in the heart of Essen
