When in Loket, be sure to try the local beer brewed in the small St. Florian's brewery. The exhibition in the Brewery Museum is part of the St. Florian family beer brewery. The three rooms show the traditional manufacture of casks, malt processing and original bottling as well as bottling and old machines. The entrance to the exhibition is directly in the brewery restaurant in the basement of the Hotel "Kaiser Ferdinand" or in the brewery shop (Payer's House) on the market square.

The Svatý Florián Brewery is definitely worth a visit. It is also well attended. But there is a restaurant on the market square that also has a draft beer and pretty much the same menu is a lot cheaper. So if you want to enjoy the flair of the brewery, stay at the "Saint Florian" and if you want to eat and drink well, just walk a few meters further

In 2006 the brewing tradition came back to Loket. Johann von Luxembourg granted the city the right to brew. This privilege was confirmed in 1352 by his son - Emperor Karel IV. Beer was brewed here until 1953. Today's brewery is in the rooms of the original malt house. At the moment you are brewing semi-dark Beir from the Florian brand (11 degrees original wort). It is a classic Bohemian lager beer, made from natural raw materials. The brewery will be expanded in 2010.
