Very beautiful castle, currently used for apartments, offices, the tourist office, the castle registry office and a restaurant. There are also a few free parking spaces directly in front of the old castle.😉

The old castle would have fallen into disrepair long ago if it hadn't been for Dr. Kurt Schadendorf. Together with other citizens, he saved the old castle from demolition during the land reform and set up the first rural outpatient clinic in Saxony in August 1949. Today, many medical practices and the registry office are located in the old castle. The castle hall was previously used as a cowshed and gymnasium, among other things. Today it serves as an event and conference room.
