Hiking
Benrath Palace and Orangery are pretty crowded on the weekends (especially in the summer months). Nevertheless, a detour is always worthwhile. I especially like the small garden behind the orangery with its flowering borders and citrus trees.

I couldn't find any historical information about the gate. However, it's located directly on the Itter River, opposite the orangery and the extensive park. Does it have a historical purpose? It's certainly beautiful and well worth a visit!
