In the fog we went from Mesenich over the Steinreichkäpp towards Senheim.
The plan was to take a leisurely walk through the vineyards until we spotted the turnoff to Urbanus Steig. So a spontaneous change of plan and up narrow, steep paths. The warning sign at the beginning was certainly accurate. The… read more

Finally been to the Calmont again 😊
My respect for the winegrowers who cultivate their vines on the steepest vineyard in Europe. Going up there for fun is one thing, but to earn a living... Chapeau!

From the tetrahedron we went on to the Hoheward heap to climb a few more stairs. However, there were only 221 steps 🙂
A beautiful Halden Sunday
Not a route hike, but diligently walked up many, many steps. If I didn't miscount, there were at least 613 steps. And on top of that I was able to overcome my fear of heights and am up to the top platform of the tetrahedron. 🤩

The pictures speak for themselves. The Urdenbacher Kämpe is and remains a wonderful spot on earth. At any time of the year, at any time of the day. 🥰

Just right for a brisk walk before the temperatures rise again.
What I didn't notice at all, however, was the garbage along the way.
Beer, vodka, cola bottles, cigarette packs, plastic bags, shards, butts, handkerchiefs, and and and
It's a shame that there are still people who treat Mother Nature so irresponsibly.
