Hiking

Pay close attention to which platform the train is running from. Otherwise you sit, like me, in the bus shelter, wave to the train as it leaves and then wait another 60 minutes. There is not so much going on that it would be worth it. My highlight was a mini excavator driving by, which with its entertainment value reduced the waiting time by 7-8 minutes

At the Schneverdingen train station, the Erixx Heidesprinter runs every hour (including weekends) to Harburg and Soltau or Hanover. There is no seating.
