This difficult hike with a steep ascent leads us from Mittenwald through several landscapes to the western Karwendelspitze. At first through a fairytale mixed forest, later increasing through subalpine and ultimately alpine terrain, we can beautifully observe the change of zones. The Dammkar hut, framed halfway up by impressive rocks, impresses with its "simplicity" that has been preserved to this day and provides us with a simple snack or soup before the second half of the tour.
If you have enough time when you arrive at the "Karwendelgrube" or if the last ascent to the Western Karwendelspitze is too difficult for you, you have the opportunity here to enjoy great panoramas in all directions on the easy paths of the "Passamani" circular route or make a detour to the opposite North Linderspitze (2374 m) and thus also get to the (additional) deserved summit experience.

In the summer you can walk through the secluded valley through a sea of scree - but do not worry, the paths are very good to commit. In winter, the valley is 7.5 kilometers long and is Germany's longest ski run. The slope is no longer prepared and is therefore a paradise for freeriders.
