The main market square of the oldest part of the city. In the 14th century, the first town hall building was erected in the middle of the square. At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, the old town hall was demolished, and a new neoclassical town hall was built in its place. The northwestern frontage and the building on the corner of the market square and Adama Mickiewicza Street in the southeastern frontage have not survived to the present day.
