The listed Schmausenbuckturm stands on the Schmausenbuck (390 m above sea level), a survey on the eastern edge of Nuremberg. The area is named after the red beer brewer Georg Schmaus, who bought the area in 1670 from the city. The whole area is protected landscape area and lies in the middle of the Lorenzer Reichswald. The observation deck is located at 414 m. above sea level. NN. and offers a fantastic view over the rooftops of Nuremberg.
