Some old steps testify to the early development of the Jagdstein, which is said to have been an observation post to protect the old post road. A surprisingly broad view opens up on the summit. Directly below us is the small town of Gersdorf, behind which we can see wind turbines and the Wilisch. When the view is clear, you can discover the Dresden TV tower and the elongated ridges of the Eastern Ore Mountains. Also of interest are the many "bathtubs" - natural sandstone kettles filled with water.
