The old medieval grain mill on the banks of the Pegnitz was converted into a paper mill in 1591. In 1862 it was again transformed into an art mill. It was not closed until 1972, after reconstruction, which was necessary after the damage caused by World War II. Today the mill is a restaurant, which is located directly on a side arm of the Oberer Wöhrder See.

In 1999, the city donated the wooden water wheel, which needs regular repairs after the season. A sabbatical followed in 2004 for reasons of savings, and the municipality also relinquished responsibility. As a result, the Mögeldorfer Bürgerverein had to go looking for sponsors every year to make the renovation possible.

The Satzinger Mill in Mögeldorf was originally a grain mill from the Middle Ages. It was destroyed in 1552 and rebuilt as a paper mill in 1591. Milling operations ceased in 1972. There is currently a Greek restaurant in the building. nuernberginfos.de/muehlen-nuernberg/satzinger-muehle.html
