Nice little tour in the best winter weather!
That made up for us a bit for the lost winter / ski vacation!
I noticed the summit of the Otterberg for the first time, it is marked by a granite block on a small hill in the forest.
Shortly before that, tobogganing fun was announced, but completely Corona-compliant - it wasn't too busy.February 15, 2021

Nice little hike through the Schneverdinger Heide. The heather itself is now rather unsightly brown, but there are still lots of splashes of color due to the yellow birch leaves.
I especially like the way just before the B3. There are some oaks in the heather at greater intervals. I like it when trees can "develop freely".November 15, 2020

Small heather hike in the best autumn weather. Lovely!
The parasols in the last photo had an umbrella almost the size of a dessert plate!October 13, 2020

Nice hike in a little stormy weather. This made for picturesque cloudy skies in the open spaces.
From Sittensen we first went along the Oste, past the orchard meadow (where we collected a few apples on the way back) and then on the motorway to Gross Meckelsen, where we followed the north path Kuhbach-Oste, a nearly 10km long circular route.
V.a. the section west of Gross Meckelsen was very beautiful. An idyllic forest path followed the Kuhbach to Kuhmühlen with its picturesque large pond and the handsome hotel in old walls. Later we were back at the Oste, which cut as deeply as the Este near Bötersheim west of Gross Meckelsen.October 4, 2020

Done! After almost 110km of brisk drive, we are back home!
It was pretty fresh - for the first time I had 4 layers on top, long pants and the hood all day.
But at least we stayed dry!
In order to get through quickly, we have rel. Little stopped and accordingly few photos taken.
At the 1st on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal you can still see the morning clouds of mist over the water.
A little further you can see that the sheep on the Elbe dike are mutating - their necks and legs are getting longer and longer 😉.
All in all, it was a great vacation tour, on which we collected a lot of interesting impressions and enjoyed cyclingSeptember 26, 2020

After a rainy night we started from Schwerin this morning - heavily overcast but dry. It stayed that way throughout the tour.
Again the typical Mecklenburg landscape - undulating and hilly with large fields, meadows, forests and wetlands. Everything now with a distinct autumn touch.
As rain threatened again and again, we shortened the tour by approx. 15km by excluding Gadebusch.
There isn't much going on here in Gudow-Kehrsen. We will relax, eat something and recharge our batteries for tomorrow, because we want to go home in one go.September 25, 2020

This morning there were clouds and even a few raindrops for a change.
We initially followed the Warnowtalrundtour, which unfortunately turned out to be a flop overall. Approx. 50% of the route led on back roads with moderate to heavy traffic without a cycle path.
Directly behind Sternberg approx. 5km bad scree path, always pepped up by Bollersand. Wasn't even designated as a cycle path, probably a mistake by Komoot.
Before Crivitz again gravel road, only a little better than the route behind Sternberg, after half the route because of closure. Construction work. We had to turn back onto a side road and later onto the main road towards Crivitz. Everything without a bike path, but a lot of traffic 😣. A little annoyed, we left Crivitz on the left, which we actually wanted to see, and followed other side streets with not so much traffic.
The landscape was beautiful in spite of everything, it went up and down again!
The entrance to Schwerin first over the southern lakeshore and then with the castle panorama made up for us.September 24, 2020

Nice tour with very summer temperatures again. Behind Waren we went north of the Kölpinsee and through Jabel, then through the Nossentiner Heide. Our way led through a very large forest area, which is only gradually changing from commercial to natural forest.
In Krakow am See, a nice little town, we strengthened ourselves with fish sandwiches.
We continued via Güstrow to Bützow, our destination today.
As long as we followed the Berlin-Copenhagen long-distance cycle route, the route was particularly cycle-friendly.
Otherwise partly extremely narrow paths (at Krakiwer Obersee). In Gross Grabow we are the other way around: Katzenkopfsteinpflaster - the end is not in sight! Unfortunately, we now had to go a long way to rel. Follow the heavily trafficked L37 to Güstrow, where there was sometimes no bike path 😣. Should someone follow the tour: stay on the Berlin-Copenhagen route from Krakow. Maybe a little longer, but definitely more suitable for cycling.September 23, 2020
