The Pützbach, which leads to the Rur via Garsbeck and Vogelsang, has its source in the legendary Silberquelle in the Hallerbruch.

This is the saga that Peter H 65 suggests

A spring rises in the Haller Bruch, called the Silberborn. In a dense blackberry bush overshadowed by tall trees, it billows deeply and powerfully from the ground. It comes out as if boiling and the waters crowd endlessly, carrying a strange silvery mass with them. And this mass flees and catches itself and makes arcs and circles to collide again and escape again. No wonder the people christened him Silberborn. And restlessly the imagination of the people has spun the delicate fabric of the legend around this peculiar source.

A lonely forest chapel is said to have once existed here. Then one day a farmer came with his plow, which was pulled by two cows, and drove into the sanctuary with bold insolence. But no sooner was he inside than the chapel shook to its foundations and sank down with the sinner. At the same place, a wide and deep scour developed, today's Silberborn. One wants to have stones tied to a long rope and let them down without finding a reason.

That's what the legend tells us. It sounds more historical that in the 1960s the water from the spring was examined for its components and silver was found in it, but it was not worth exploiting.
