It is the culturally and historically valuable ideal type of a pond house from around 1500, which was only slightly changed later and whose original equipment was preserved. The surrounding baroque park was reconstructed in 1964 and 1978/79. The castle is owned by a charitable foundation. The ground floor with the kitchen, the first and second floor as well as the horse stables from the outbuildings are open to the public.
