In 1726, the successor monastery of St. Bruno built the present-day tithe house on the Odendorf Carthusian farm to store the tithe, a donation in kind from the land tenants to the Carthusian monastery and pastor of the village. The tithe house resembles the granaries and armories of medieval cities.

The former tithe house belonged to the Blankenheimer or Kartäuserhof in Odendorf. The two-story quarry stone building is covered by a gable roof. The stepped gable dates from the 19th century. Inside, the former storage rooms are divided by longitudinal walls with arched openings.
