Rockier terrain awaits you at the Pitztaler Jöchl, both on the ascent and the descent. Many passages are secured. If there is (still) snow and you can no longer see any markings, you should be careful. Be aware that the ground can slip if you move on the scree.

The flat farm track leads from the starting point to the glacier parlor. We continue left to the ascent to Braunschweiger Hütte. The rocky waterfall trail leads steeply up the glacier break to the foot of the Mittelbergfernerbruch. From there the arduous and very steep climb to the hut, some of which leads up steps, begins. Along this arduous path you have a fantastic view of the surrounding glacier world. A very good climb leads up to the Pitztaler Jöchl. The view from there to the surrounding peaks and glaciers is worth seeing. Surefootedness and fitness is a must!
