Bike Touring Highlight
Grünberg, a forest hoof village of approx. 490 hectares and now around 590 inhabitants, has been a district of Ottendorf-Okrilla since 01.01.1994. It is embedded in two river valleys. Many trees and meadows interrupt the open construction of the houses and farms. The Rote Graben, which flows through Langebrück and comes from the Dresdner Heide, flows into Grünberg, town center, into the Große Röder, which reaches the Schwarze Elster through the districts of Hermsdorf, Ottendorf-Okrilla and Medingen in a north-westerly direction near Elsterwerda. In Grünberg the roads from Ottendorf-Okrilla to Langebrück and those from Weixdorf - Hermsdorf in the direction of Schönborn - Radeberg cross
