The elephant caves are located directly at the Urach waterfall, in the large terrace formed by the waterfall - on the ascent to the high meadow at the last hairpin bend about 30 m to the left, above the path (fenced nature reserve); the small elephant cave is in the upper third of the steep wall.

There is a lot going on here during the school holidays, so it is better to recommend during the week.

Very nice up there, especially in the morning when everyone is still sleeping!
There is also catering, seating and a barbecue area

    Size: Large elephant cave 70 m long, entrance height 3 m, entrance width 8 m (two-story); Small elephant cave 42 m long, two entrances with 7 or 5 m entrance height and 8 and 5 m entrance width. 👍🙃🙂

Steps flooded by the waterfall. It is best to walk with sturdy shoes.

An absolute must for hikers! The best time for this begins around mid-October. But that's just my opinion 🤘🏻😎

The waterfall is fed by the Brühlbach (tributary of the Erms).
